Perfect Saves This #MLB Season

Greg Holland of the Rockies moved to 8-8 in save attempts this season. Holland leads the league in saves. Good for him after his comeback from surgery and for the Rox. Holland was rocked a bit by the Dodgers giving up three hits and a pair of runs before shutting the door on the Colorado 4-3 win that moved them to 6-0 in one-run games.

Fortunately for Holland, Colorado gave him a three-run lead to work his one inning, but frequently closers don’t have that luxury which is why I truly appreciate the “perfect save;” an appearance in which no baserunners are permitted. There have been 41 of them thus far season including three yesterday:
