The Complete Robin Roberts

There are many items to marvel at about the career of Hall of Famer Robin Roberts, but two stand out in particular:

* From the time of his debut in 1948 Roberts gave up 505 home runs, more than any other pitcher in the history of baseball. Jamie Moyer is second, with 498 allowed.

* From the time of his debut in 1948 to his 1966 retirement, Roberts completed 305 games, a number exceeded only by Warren Spahn in the 62 years since.

When you look at the number of complete games you can’t help but marvel at both Spahn and Roberts, particularly when you look at complete games in relation to the number of starts they each made.
