A.J. Yankee April Ace

A.J. Burnett may not pitch really well, but in April he wins really well. Burnett (3-0, 4.67 ERA) pitched into the seventh inning, and Alex Rodriguez hit a three-run homer as the Yankees topped the Orioles, 7-4. Burnett improved to 8-0 in 13 Yankee April starts despite allowing four runs, seven hits, two walks and  three wild pitches in 6.1 innings. He struck out five.

Mariano Rivera pitched a perfect 9th for his fifth save.

Derek Jeter had a two singles, including another infield hit. His second hit was his 2935th and tied him for 32nd all-time with convicted felon Barry Bonds. His 293 hits against the Orioles are the most against any team.
