Jays squeeze Rangers

The Blue Jays scored three in the 9th highlighted by a perfectly-executed squeeze bunt, to beat the Rangers 5-2 and win three out of four in Texas. With one down and the score tied and runners on first and third, Corey Patterson‘s first-pitch bunt was placed perfectly between the pitcher and first baseman and all hands were safe. Toronto won its first series in three weeks.

Adam Lind hit a two run homer for the Jays.

Jays received a scare when Jose Bautista was hit on the right hand with a fastball, but he appears to be okay. Bautista leads the AL in batting at .360.
