Brandon Beachy picked up his first major league win as the Atlanta Braves kicked sand in the face of the Hiroki Kuroda and the Dodgers, 10-1. Beachy (1-1) allowed the Dodgers two hits over six scoreless innings, struck out seven and walked two. The Atlanta Braves provided him with home runs from Martin Prado, Freddie Freeman, Dan Uggla and pinch-hitter Eric Hinske.
Kuroda (2-2) allowed two runs and five hits in 6.1 innings as the real damage was done in the 9th when the Braves scored eight times.
Andre Ethier extended his hitting streak 16 games.
