Rangers sweep Royals

C.J. Wilson struck out 10 in seven innings, Adrian Beltre, Mike Napoli, and Andres Blanco all hit Texas homers as the Rangers completed a three-game weekend sweep over the Royals with an 8-7 win yesterday. Bruce Chen (3-1), who had won seven consecutive decisions over his previous 11 starts took the loss giving up six runs and seven hits in 4.1 innings.

Arthur Rhodes picked up the save as regular closer Neftali Feliz is on the disabled list because of shoulder inflammation.

Mike Aviles hit a pair for KC. Jeff Francoeur extended his hitting streak to 14 games and Alex Gordon now has an 18-game hitting streak.

The Rangers had lost six of eight before this series, but are now 10-2 at home.
