Two more 1-0 games


Luis Perez (3-2) pitched six innings in his first big league start and combined with Casey Janssen on a one-hitter, and Jose Bautista hit his majors-best 36th home run to send the Blue Jays over the Oakland Athletics, 1-0.

In Atlanta, the Braves’ Tim Hudson (13-7) allowed only three hits with three walks and seven strikeouts in seven innings and beat Arizona’s Josh Collmenter, 1-0.

Closer Craig Kimbrel with a runner on third, struck out the last two batters to secure the win and pick up his 39th save which leaves him just one behind the rookie record of 40 saves that Neftali Feliz of Texas set last year.

The Braves completed a three-game sweep. Alex Gonzalez homered for the game’s only run.
