Jose Reyes a Miami Marlin?

One alternative for the Miami Marlins as they move into their new ballpark, would be the free-agent signing of Jose Reyes and then moving Hanley Ramirez who has a minus-8 Rtot each of the last two seasons from short to third.

According to the NY Post, a Marlins representative reportedly called Reyes’ agent, Peter Greenberg, at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, the first possible moment teams were allowed to negotiate with free agents other than their own, to express their interest.

The Marlins will play in a new stadium under new manager, Ozzie Guillen, next season and had the seventh-lowest payroll in baseball for the 2011 season.
