Four gunmen kidnapped Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos from his home in Valencia, Venezuela yesterday. The 24-year-old was planning to play in roughly 10 games with Ramos’ winter baseball team, Tigres de Aragua starting today. Ramos was taken from his home by four people, who put in him in a green car and sped away. “They are still waiting for the kidnappers contact the family,” a source said.
Ramos became the Nationals starting catcher as a rookie in 2011, batting .267 with 15 home runs and 52 RBI.
