Billy-Ball-a-Grams: 60’s edition

Billy-Ball-a-Grams are easy and fun to play. These are anagrams, which are a word, phrase, or name formed by rearranging the letters of another, such as “Axe strangers,” formed from “Texas Rangers.”

The category for today’s Nine to Know is players from the 1960’s. Each of the nine words, phrase, or name has been formed by rearranging the letters of a player who appeared in at least one game from 1960 – 1969 (trust me, there is no one who is obscure).

Readers are encouraged to put their answers in the Comments section of this column found on Billy-Ball.com. The first correct entry has the honor of being the person who recorded the first correct entry. The answers will be published ultimately in the Comments section by me, if the complete set is not recorded by someone else.

Have fun and hopefully there are no typos (damn you, Eddie Mathews)!
