MLB Network Launching MLB Strike Zone

Tonight MLB Network launches a new digital channel, MLB Strike Zone. Strike Zone, not unlike the NFL Redzone channel, will offer live look-ins during key moments in games, as well as highlights, on Tuesday and Friday nights during the regular season.

“MLB Network Strike Zone will provide baseball fans with the award-winning coverage of all 30 clubs they’ve come to rely on from MLB Network,” said Tony Petitti, president and CEO of MLB Network in announcing the service. “We’re excited to continue to expand the reach and scope of MLB Network’s programming.”

Strike Zone has a limited roll-out; it is available only on DirecTV’s Sports Package and Extra Innings packages, Dish Network’s Multi-Sport Pack and on Bright House and Time Warner Cable. It is not yet available on Comcast.
