Daniel Bard, the 46th pitcher to walk at least 6, hit at least 2 and allow 5+ runs

The Red Sox pitcher Daniel Bard was dangerously wild today in Toronto lasting 1.2 innings allowing five runs on just one hit (a three-run blast by Jose Bautista), but he walked six and sent Yunel Escobar and Edwin Encarnacion writhing in pain after getting hit in the hand/wrist area by pitches.

On the season, Bard has now walked 37 in 55 innings while hitting eight. He has a 5.24 ERA in 10 starts in what looks like a failed experiment to convert him to a starting pitcher. This is the fourth time this season he has given up five earned runs and the sixth time and fourth straight start that he lasted less than six innings.

Since 1918, there have been 46 pitchers to walk 6+, hit 2+, and allow 5+ runs, but none in as short a time as Bard.
