Heading to “The Show”

Each position on my long resume has been, as far as I’m concerned, “major league” and now, I’m proud to say I can use initial caps.

In about a week, I will begin my new life as a Freelance Researcher for the MLB Network.

This is a rare opportunity to work with a vast number of the best and the brightest analysts, pundits, insiders, and broadcasters in baseball in order to provide information and stories to the best and most devoted fans in the world of sports.

It is a dream job for me.

In order for me to work in such stellar company, I must devote myself 100% to this work, which means that for the foreseeable future, I will only be researching and writing baseball for the MLB Network. This means that with the exception of a couple columns and other placements in the pipeline, Billy-Ball and the Bill Chuck Files are on hiatus.

My hope is that as each of you watch the MLB Network this coming season and you hear a great stat, you say to yourself, “I wonder if Bill wrote that…nah, probably not.”

Have a fun season everyone…I know I will.
