  1. In case you missed it, CC Sabathia became just the fourth lefty with 2800+ career strikeouts joining Randy Johnson (4875), Steve Carlton (4136), and Mickey Lolich (2832); CC has 2803 Ks.
  2. Negatively on the rise – In 2014, the Orioles team ERA was 3.43; in 2015, it was 4.05; in 2016, it was 4.22; and this season, it is 4.95.
  3. Paul Goldschmidt has hit into seven DPs in 475 PA; Matt Kemp hit into eight double plays in 93 PA in July.
  4. Each successive month this season, the Dodgers have lost fewer games: April 14-12, May 19-9, June 21-7, July 20-3, and August 4-1.
  5. Jeff Samardzija has 11 losses making him the only pitcher in baseball to have at least 11 losses each of the last six seasons.
  6. This week, Albert Pujols had his 23rd 5+ RBI game tying him for 10th all-time with Cecil Fielder and Barry B*nds. Next up with 24 is Ted Williams. Lou Gehrig had 41 5+ RBI games, the most since 1913.
  7. There have been 29 teams that have either hit a walkoff or allowed a walkoff homer this season; the only team left out of the excitement has been the Dodgers.
  8. Since the start of 2016,  Mookie Betts has 67 multi-hit games; next is Jose Altuve with 63.
